YES! I believe that it is absolutely necessary to get to know you both on a deeper level to be able to tell your love story in an authentic and complete way. I strive to deliver thematic feature films rather than simple collages of your wedding day. 

This process starts with our intake call. I want to know how you met, the highs and lows of your relationship, what draws you to each other, how you interact with your families/friends and what you believe that your future together will hold! The second step is to meet up for an adventure session.

Once I've gotten to know you both, I am able to approach your wedding day with a narrative already in mind. As a videographer, I believe that it is my job to tell your love story in a way that is true to YOU. No edits are the same because no couples are exactly the same!

I get it, a budget is a budget and weddings can get SO expensive. I also believe in the 'you get what you pay for' principle. Because I position myself to invest so deeply in the couples I work with, I ask you to invest in me, your story-teller, as well. My prices (local to Ohio & Colorado) for weddings start at $3,750 with elopements starting at $3,000.

Picture a mad scientist in his laboratory. I've always had trouble relaxing knowing there's work to be done. Anytime I finish shooting a wedding, the ONLY thing on my mind is the edit. There's something wildly exciting to me about sifting through the footage of a wedding day. Piecing together your story is an intense puzzle and I'm always up for the challenge!

If you're imagining popping over to my place to pull up a chair and walk me through shot by shot, I'm not likely your guy ;) However, I recognize that this is not MY film; your unique story will guide me. 

While you may not have a direct line of input; all of the vows, toasts, letter reads, interactions with your family and friends, interests as well as the story I've gotten to know, will inform the edit! At the end of the day, I want you to be able to look back on your feature film with joy and a feeling of it being authentic to YOU!

Personally, I often remember the big events in my life through the album I was listening to at the time. So, choosing the music for your wedding video is a HUGE deal to me and something I put a lot of heart and soul into. I’ll ask what songs and genres you both love (and hate) and use that as a guide when licensing music, but always choose songs that fit the wedding day and the moments happening over top of the music. 

Oh, and if you’re looking to use somebody like Ed Sheeran...legally & artistically, it just ain't gonna fly. I have to license music through certain avenues to credit all those hard-working musicians for creating the soundtrack for your film! There's also a huge element of build and emotion when it comes to picking the perfect track. It’s an art in itself that I take great pride in. Sound design and scoring a film is one of my favorite aspects of editing! 

To reserve your wedding day, we require a non-refundable retainer payment of $1,500 upon booking! The remainder of the chosen package and add-ons will be due one month before your wedding date.

Yes and no. If your wedding day details are settled, your package pricing will reflect the estimated travel expenses! If your venue location isn't booked, I can add them on later!
